The construction of SPC flooring has higher requirements on the base layer. The quality of the ground affects the construction effect and performance of SPC flooring.
- When laying SPC flooring, the base layer must be flat, solid, and dry;
- Basic requirements for the ground: There should be no sand on the surface of the cement floor.
- The plastic floor has a smooth surface, square yin and yang angles, no missing edges, and no oil, dust or impurities.
- Ground cracks: If there are cracks caused by foundation settlement, the cracks shall not exceed the width of 1.0mm.
- Ground hardness: To check the hardness of the ground, use a sharp shovel to quickly cut and file the ground without leaving any traces or grooves.
- Smoothness of the ground surface: The surface of the ground foundation must be smooth and flat, and “troubling and finishing” is required (that is, using a plasterer’s iron trowel to finish and finish the mortar while the mortar layer is still wet.)
- Ground density: The ground surface should not be too rough, have too many pores, and should not have holes or potholes. The ground surface should be smooth.
